This one-of-a-kind block of apartments project stands as a remarkable fusion of tradition and innovation in the charming town of Pieta. This development entails the construction of a new building on an existing structure, highlighting our expertise in structural engineering and our commitment to preserving Malta’s architectural heritage. The existing part of the building underwent a full analysis to ensure its structural integrity and stability. With a meticulous approach, our engineers ensured that the existing structure was capable of supporting the new building on top. A key challenge in the project was the replication of the stone used in the existing part of the building in the new construction. Our team paid high attention to seamlessly integrating the new and existing parts to create a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing development. To safeguard the existing structure underneath, our engineers designed a lightweight and innovative structure for the new building. This approach allowed for a minimal impact on the existing structure while ensuring the stability of the entire development.
